Author and Leadership Expert Tamara J. Erickson Announces the Launch of Tammy Erickson Associates
Company Assists Corporate Leaders in Reshaping Outdated Business Practices and Building Successful ‘Intelligent’ OrganizationsApril 02, 2012 - Tamara Erickson recently announced the launch of a new company, Tammy Erickson Associates (TEA). The firm will focus on helping business leaders become Intelligent Organizations by shifting outdated corporate beliefs, developing new insights, and leveraging fresh ideas into new business practices.

We are committed to a continuing emphasis on thought leadership, while helping corporate leaders make a real difference within their organizations.”
Erickson, a McKinsey Award-winning author and widely respected expert on collaboration and innovation, on the changing workforce and on the nature of work in the intelligent economy, was recently named for the second time to the Thinkers50, a premier biennial ranking of global business thinkers, with advisers drawn from America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. She was honored for her seminal work on leadership and generations.
“In today’s economy very different businesses are emerging, harnessing individual contribution and every unit of knowledge,” said Erickson, who is the author of trilogy of books on how individuals in specific generations can excel in today’s workplace: Retire Retirement, What’s Next, Gen X? and Plugged In. “It has been very rewarding for me over the past several years to work with organizations to explore the shifting generational values and counter-intuitive paths to collaboration and innovation.”
“The new company will allow me to expand my work on the influence of new technology, shifting workforce values, and multi-generational dynamics faced by today’s organizations,” she said.
According to Erickson, TEA will offer two tracks of services: a unique membership-based program, Insight for the Intelligent Organization and a customized executive education, coaching advisory service.
“We have shaped Insight for the Intelligent Organization to combine original research and personalized custom delivery on important issues critical to business success,” Erickson said, adding that “the Advisory Service arm of TEA is intended to help organizations identify invalid management and organizational practices and re-design these outdated practices.”
TEA will focus on a number of major research themes for 2012 that include:
- Reshaping organizations – the impact of mobility and the possibilities for new ways of working.
- Management practices that drive new behavior – social learning, performance management, and collective intelligence
- New motivations and work preferences – the impact of Boomers working longer, the powerful influence of the new generation poised to enter the workforce (and dominate the consumer market), and workers who are contingent by choice.
